The HK USC Carbine Is Back in Limited Numbers

Back in the year 2000, Heckler & Koch introduced the USC (Universal Self-Loading Carbine). Essentially a civilian, semi-auto version of the company’s UMP submachine gun, it featured a thumbhole stock, 16-inch barrel and a 10-round magazine. The gun was discontinued in 2013, but it looks like the HK USC is coming back for a limited run.

The HK USC’s return was first reported by Omaha Outdoors, which received an email blast confirming the news. The gun is chambered in .45 ACP and uses a blowback operation. The USC also sports a 16-inch cold-hammer forged target barrel; skeletonized buttstock with a rubber cheek rest and recoil pad; oversized trigger guard; ambidextrous safety selector; and a rear sight adjustable for windage and elevation. In addition, this rifle comes with three hard points on the top and sides. These allow for the attachment of optional Picatinny rails, enabling you to mount accessories with ease.
