Get ready gun lovers – Mississippi’s Second Amendment Tax Holiday is back!

From 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 25th until midnight on Sunday, August 27th, shoppers can purchase certain firearms, ammunition and accessories without having to pay the state’s seven-percent sales tax.

This will be Mississippi’s fourth such weekend, thanks to a 2014 law mandating the annual event.

“It’s actually bigger for us than Black Friday,” Todd Sarotte, manager of Van’s Sporting Goods in Brandon, tells The Clarion Ledger. “It’s grown every year, and for the last two years it’s been bigger than Black Friday for us.”
