Daniel Defense expands DD5 rifle line with calibers and barrel lengths

Daniel Defense recently announced the Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) Law Enforcement Division selected the company for service rifles. All Texas game wardens and park police will carry DDM4V7 carbines.

“We’re honored to be selected by TPWD to provide each of their LE divisions with upgraded service carbines,” said Patrick Kisgen, Daniel Defense Vice President of Sales. “To be judged against the leading manufacturers in this industry and ultimately be selected as the best, speaks to the quality and performance of our DDM4 platform.”

The selected carbine is an upgraded version of the DDM4V7 Mil Spec +. The 16-inch, semi-automatic duty rifle is chambered in 5.56mm. It features a 15-inch M-LOk handguard, ambidextrous charging handle, swing swivels, and an M-LOK Picatinny rail section. Texas Park’s and Wildlife chose to further customize the rifle. It added a Radian Weapons Talon ambidextrous safety selector and Magpul MBUS Pro flip-up front and rear sights. Additionally, it added a Magpul angled foregrip and Ergo Grips rail covers.
