Law enforcement in the Brazilian state of Ceará chose Texas-based Radical Firearms for its latest supply of guns, according to a company news release published this week.
The Ceará State Civil Police equipped their officers with 150 RF-15 rifles, five Armalite AR-10 SuperSASS rifles and an undisclosed number of Sig Sauer P320 handguns this month after government officials visited the Texas facility earlier this year. The RF-15 rifles, in particular, feature a “specialty maritime coating” designed for combating humidity and other unique weather conditions.

Ceará, the 13th Brazilian state to partner with Radical Firearms for weapons upgrades, sits on the country’s northeastern Atlantic coast. It’s 9 million residents live under increasingly violent conditions as activity from organized gangs intensify, according to the release. The police force’s military counterpart, the Policia Militar do Ceara Policia Militar do Brasil, will import more weapons from Radical Firearms before the year’s end.
