Fairfax, VA -(Ammoland.com)- House Bill 910, sponsored by state Representative Larry Phillips and state Senator Craig Estes, is running out of time.

NRA-supported HB 910 removes the requirement that Concealed Handgun Licenses (CHLs) keep their handguns concealed and gives them the option of carrying them either wholly or partially visible in a belt or shoulder holster. After having established a 20-year record of law-abiding and responsible behavior, Texas CHLs have earned this personal protection option that 43 states currently allow.

HB 910 has been sent to a conference committee to resolve differences between each chamber’s version in a final conference report. The report must be voted on by each chamber no later than midnight on Sunday, May 31.

Members who have fought long and hard for the passage of Open Carry legislation this session must continue to call their state Senator and state Representative and strongly urge them to adopt the conference committee report on HB 910 when it comes before them for consideration.
