Modularity is all the rage these days. Thanks to the U.S. Army‘s XM17 pistol contract, it’s been at the forefront of the firearms world for some time now. The biggest component of this request for manufacturers was for a pistol that could easily be configured and reconfigured to handle several different uses. Sounds like a good idea, right?
