Ted Nugent’s Antisemitic Meme Isn’t Helpful

Ted Nugent is getting press for the wrong reasons, mainly a meme he shared.

Did he really have to put the Israeli flag next to all of them? None of them are Israeli, and Israel is certainly more pro-gun than New York, New Jersey, and Chicago.

The meme is also dishonest because it ignores gun haters like Sarah Brady, Father Pfleger, Oprah, Silvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rosie O’Donnel, De Blasio, and pretty much the entire Democratic Party with a few possible exceptions. Must I remind him that the U.S. House of representatives has 435 members, the U.S. Senate has 100, and plenty of them aren’t Jewish and hate our 2nd Amendment?

Nugent defendd his action by writing: “The founder of Jews For the Preservation of Firearms Ownership called me his 2nd Amendment/Freedom hero.”

Seriously? That’s like me using the n-word in public because I have one black friend that likes me.

Come on, Ted! If you’re going to compare gun control supporters to Nazis, as I do, at least try not to act like them. Jew-hating may be fine for Occupy Wall Street, the Neo-Nazis, and the Klan, those are left-wing organizations and it is expected from them.
