Anybody who has fired a Ruger 10/22 right out of the box has most likely came to the same conclusion that the sights are awful. Aside from not being legitimately adjustable, the horseshoe rear sight doesn’t make a snap together fit with the lollipop-looking front sight. This translates to far too much room in the sight picture for interpretation. I have literally seen two excellent shooters fire great groups that had a difference of impact of over five inches.
