The Ruger MKIV 22/45 receives a Tandemkross upgrade, with the aftermarket company launching the new Cornerstone Safety Thumb Ledge for the Ruger model.
The Cornerstone boasts an oversized, 1911-style ledge that upgrades the factory safety. The Cornerstone looks to deliver consistent hand placement, resulting in improved grip and control for more accurate shots. The add-on enhances the external OEM safety but does so without making modifications to any internal components of the Ruger MKIV.
Tandemkross says they’ve heard complaints from shooters who say the ambidextrous factory safety pinches fingers, and thus has developed the non-ambidextrous Cornerstone to address the problem. The Cornerstone offers a drop-in design that does not require the use of specialized tools or gunsmithing to install.
“Whether you’re a competitive shooter working to improve your speed and accuracy or a weekend plinker looking for better control over your pistol, a strong, proper grip is key. The new ‘Cornerstone’ Safety Thumb Ledge from Tandemkross is the ideal upgrade to boost your control,” Tandemkross said in a statement.
