The GearBox features a drop-in replacement for the OEM Buck Mark sear spring. The drop-in construction makes the GearBox easy to install while also bringing the trigger pull weight down. Overall, the GearBox looks to bring a safer and reliable alternative to Buck Mark Owners frustrated with their current factory trigger.
“The goal for this project was to provide an upgrade for the Buck Mark that will improve performance, simplify assembly, and reinvigorate interest in a truly iconic rimfire pistol,” said Tandemkross product engineer Keith Bennett in a news release.
The GearBox tackles the DIY market which can often prove disastrous for owners who aren’t sure of how to adequately tweak their guns. The GearBox alleviates this concern through a straightforward drop in redesigned torsion spring maintained in a polymer installation frame, according to Tandemkross. Once installed, the system acts a guide for the spring which, in turn, equates to proper alignment and “consistent engagement with the sear.”
