Rep. Eric “Nuke ’em All” Swalwell (D- CA) is running for president, so any number of nonsense things are likely to fly out of his mouth between the time of his announcement and whenever it is he ends up bowing out of the race. His odds of winning the Democratic Party’s nomination are slim at best. He’s not going to go the distance and face-off with President Trump.

But between now and then, we’re going to hear a lot of insane things from not just Swalwell, but all of the candidates.

However, Swalwell’s recent claim may be tough to beat [emphasis mine]:

Democratic presidential candidate Eric Swalwell said Sunday that the Second Amendment shouldn’t be repealed but that it does allow for some guns to be controlled.

“The greatest threat to the Second Amendment is doing nothing,” the California congressman said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “And the Second Amendment is not an absolute right.
