Suspect shot while trying to rob marijuana dispensary (VIDEO)

A man was shot while trying to rob a Los Angeles area marijuana dispensary last week.
The suspect entered West Adams Collective May 11 around 11 p.m. and brandished a firearm. It’s unclear if he was after pot, cash, or both, but an armed security guard took action and shot the suspect in the face and chest. The suspect was then transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The incident remains under investigation but preliminary reports indicate it was a robbery gone wrong. Several security cameras were set up around the facility and were to be reviewed as part of the investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
