Tactical product and illumination maker SureFire launched an all new closed tine WARCOMP and closed tine flash hider, announcing the new additions Thursday.
The WARCOMP-556-CTN is neutrally ported to offer better recoil management while the SFCT-556-1/2-28 closed tine flash hider boasts a similar design to that of a traditional birdcage flash hider.
Both adapters have wrench flats for easy installation and serve as a solid, precision mounted platform for SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach Suppressors. Like other SOCOM muzzle devices, the adapters are precision machined from heat-treated stainless steel. This method is highly resistant to gas and particle erosion offering a durable product. In addition, the adapters are constructed using multiple bearing surfaces, allowing for proper suppressor alignment.
SureFire says the WARCOMP design provides an over 99 percent reduction in muzzle flash compared to a plain muzzle which “helps to conceal the shooter’s location and preserve his dark-adapted vision.” Additionally, the company says shooters benefit from the reduced muzzle rise giving users the ability to stay on target for faster follow-up shots.
The adapters are available from SureFire with a MSRP of $149.
