STI International and self-defense weapons trainer Chris Costa partner up to design the new Costa Carry Comp pistol.
Chambered in 9mm and .45 ACP, the Costa Carry Comp is an STI exclusive on its 2011 platform. The 2011 series is best known for its higher round capacity. Serving up a 4.15-inch barrel, the handgun boasts a black diamond-like carbon finish with tan TreeBark stippled grips.

The Costa handgun offers an island sight, attached to the barrel instead of the slide, with the compensator ahead of the front sight. Designed to reduce muzzle jump, the construction aims to make it easier for shooters to remain focused on the front sights for follow-up shots. STI says the compensator reduces recoil by 63 percent while the STI Recoil Master dual spring system further cuts recoil, making the Costa Carry Comp a smooth running gun.
Sights are a fixed ledge rear paired with a fiber optic front. Topping off the features is a Picatinny under-rail perfect for mounting accessories.
Two magazines, the 126mm and 140mm, are included in the package which retails for $3,699.
