Steyr Arms debuted the newest variant of their THB bolt-action rifles in Indianapolis last week, outfitted with Manners composite stocks.
The Steyr THB Manners series, available in .308 Win. and 6.5 Creedmoor, is built around the CNC-machined aluminum MCS Mini Chassis System with a combination carbon fiber/fiberglass stock. They use Steyr’s Safe Bolt System bolt-action receiver as well as heavy-profile, cold-hammer-forged barrels.
The .308 version is offered with 16-, 20- or 26-inch barrels with a 1-in-10-inch twist, while the 6.5 Creedmoor barrel is just available in a 26-inch length with a 1-in-8-inch twist. All have threaded muzzles with a 5/8-24TPI pitch for suppressors or muzzle devices. Other features of the 10.5-pounds rifle are a 20 MOA Picatinny rail on the receiver, a round tactical bolt handle rather than the typical Steyr “butter knife,” and double-stack detachable box mags.
The Steyr THB Manners comes with a standard camo finish molded into the field-grade gel coat with additional colors that can be special ordered.
MSRP is $2,395 and the guns ship with a 1 MOA guarantee backed up by a limited lifetime warranty.
