Steyr Arms introduced its latest pistol, but consumers are getting more than just the average black as the company unveiled the M9-A1 in OD Green.
OD Green has been a staple color for Steyr’s furniture for nearly 50 years, according to the company, seeing use on the SSG 69 rifle and the AUG. The M9-A1 now joins the list of colored options offered by Steyr.
The double-action handgun boasts a full-sized design with a 4-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel. Engineered with a high grip and low bore axis, Steyr says the pistol is constructed to offer shooters “unparalleled ergonomics.”
Chambered in 9mm, the striker fired gun serves up a magazine capacity of 17 rounds. Featuring an integrated rail, the gun permits shooters to mount accessories such as a light or laser. Steyr’s new pistol also touts slide-racking grooves at the rear of the slide, giving shooters a firmer grip when loading or clearing the chamber.
The M9-A1 is currently available from Steyr with a price tag of $575.
