USA – -(Ammoland.com)- Designed by British knifemaker Mike Read , the Spyderco PITS Folding Knife is a supremely functional non-locking folding knife intended for serious use.

Drawing its name from Read’s Internet forum name — “Pie in the Sky” — the latest expression of the Spyderco PITS Folding Knife features a handsome blue color-anodized titanium handle.

The heart of the PITS Folder is a broad, full-flat-ground, clip-point blade made from Böhler-Uddeholm N690Co steel — a chromium steel enhanced with cobalt, molybdenum, and vanadium alloys .

Its Trademark Round Hole allows convenient one-handed opening with either hand , while an integral guard at the base of the edge protects the user’s hand and helps prevent unintentional closure during use.

The PITS Folder’s handle is constructed from meticulously machined solid titanium scales that are bead blasted to a matte finish and then color anodized a stunning blue hue. Skeletonized to reduce weight , the scales also form the foundation of the knife’s unique slipjoint mechanism.
