Pierre, SD -(Ammoland.com)- There are still openings for women who want to take part in the annual Becoming an Outdoors Woman weekend. This year’s event will be Sept. 9-11 at Outlaw Ranch near Custer, South Dakota.

Becoming an Outdoors Woman is an education program striving to make women more comfortable and aware of the outdoors and outdoor-related activities. The three-day workshop invites women 18 and older to pursue firearms shooting, hunting, fishing, wild game preparation, archery, photography, kayaking, paddle boarding and Dutch oven cooking. Becoming an Outdoors Woman is for anyone who wants to further these skills or is a beginner in outdoor activities.

Registration is first come, first-served and is limited to 100 participants. Register online at gfp.sd.gov/outdoor-learning/BOW.aspx or call Erin Boggs at 605.773.3384.
