Space Still Available for Michigan DNR’s August Bear-Hunting Clinics
bear license not needed to attend; Trail cameras donated for door prizes; firearm raffled off if enough students register
Michigan -(Ammoland.com)- The Michigan Department of Natural Resources reminds hunters that there is still time to register for its upcoming bear-hunting clinics:
- Aug. 1 at the DNR Pocket Park
located inside the Upper Peninsula State Fairgrounds
2401 12th Ave. North, Escanaba - Aug. 8, 9 or 15 at the Carl T. Johnson Hunt and Fish Center
located inside Mitchell State Park (a Recreation Passport is required for entry)

The classes will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students will learn the ins and outs of bear hunting with experienced hunters and DNR educators. The class will cover habitat, gear, stand placement, baiting, rules and regulations, carcass care, and hide care.
