Sig Sauer expands its lineup of Elite Performance ammo even further, introducing .223 Rem and .308 Win full metal jacket rounds into the ammo series.
Designed for training, the new rounds aim to give range goers practice ammo that is both affordable and high quality.
“We have been inundated with requests for ball ammunition in these popular rifle calibers,” Brad Criner, Senior Director, Brand Management and Business Development, said in a press release. “This new Sig FMJ rifle ammunition fills a need for those who want to practice their shooting without paying match-grade prices for competition-level performance.”
The .223 Rem flavor comes in a 55 grain load with muzzle velocity of 3,240 feet-per-second. Muzzle energy sits around 1,282 foot-pounds. The 150-grain .308 Win round delivers a muzzle velocity of 2.900 feet-per-second with muzzle energy of 2,802 foot-pounds.
The .223 Rem and .308 Win calibers are available now, shipping 20 rounds to a box with a MSRP of $15.95 for the .223 Rem and $26.95 for .308 Win.
