Sig Sauer is asking SIG MCX rifle owners to stop using the firearm immediately so that the carriage assembly can be updated to prevent an unintended discharge.

Sig says they’ve only seen the issue happen extremely rarely during factory testing, and only in .300 blackout models, but the company is erring on the side of caution and upgrading all SIG MCX variants with serial numbers from 63C000044 – 63C003702 due to the modularity of the platform.

All SIG MCX rifles with a serial number ending in 25000 or higher are exempt from the program. See the full press release below.
