Around 100 citizens and local sheriff surround veteran John Arnold’s home.

The Veteran’s Affairs group had sent a letter to veteran John Arnold telling him that a VA representative would be coming by to puck up his firearms.

It all began when John had a stroke about a year ago. When the paperwork was filed and sent down the line at the VA it was noted that Mr. Arnold was no longer capable of financially competency and thus revoked his ability to handle his own affairs.

A single box check that John claims was done in error led to the VA coming to pick up his weapons. According to the VA, John was no longer eligible to own, purchase, or even possess firearms.

John Arnold said, “If somebody else makes an error and they cause you grief they should fix it, That’s all I want is that stuff to get fixed.”

Since the date of the confiscation was scheduled for August 6th, many members of the community including former veterans showed up to surround his house and prevent any form of seizure from happening.
