A teacher at River Ridge High School in Cherokee County, Georgia, has come under fire after video surfaced of her telling two students to leave her class last week because they were wearing pro-Trump T-shirts.
Although school officials are unable to disclose any disciplinary actions against the teacher, Cherokee County School Superintendent Dr. Brian Hightower issued a letter of apology, and confirmed that the teacher was in the wrong and the students will not face any sort of disciplinary action.
In the video, the teacher compared the students’ pro-Trump T-shirts to wearing swastikas in school and also indicated “Make America Great Again” was a slogan for neo-Nazis. After the incident, Hightower issued the following letter of apology.
