It was a busy Saturday morning during the morning rush that a robber walked briskly through the front door and started demanding cash. However, one of the customers had his CCW on him and decided that this robbery would be this thief’s last mistake.

It happened at a North Charleston Waffle House at 6907 Dorchester Road when one armed customer thwarted a holdup just yesterday around 5 a.m. After the customer drew and fired his weapon, the thief was taken to the Medical University Hospital for his gunshot wound where he was later pronounced dead.

The police reached out to the public to help identify the would be thief by releasing a description of the man, young male, dark hair, 5 foot 9 inches tall, and around 150 pounds. While the hero of the story has not been identified, the entire work crew along with the customers expressed a great deal of gratitude for the quick actions of the responsible individual.

“He saved us, that’s what he did.”
