Savage Arms adds to its A-Series collection of rimfire rifles, debuting the A22 Target Thumbhole chambered in either 22 WMR and 22 LR.
The A22 Target Thumbhole boasts a laminate stock paired with a heavy fluted, 22-inch barrel and satin finish. Utilizing a straight-blowback action in the Long Rifle Chambering and Savage’s delayed-blowback action in the WMR chambering, both guns deliver reliable and consistent semi-automatic performance.

Setting the rifle apart is its featherweight, thumbhole pepper laminate stock which brings the weight of the A22 down to 7.08-pounds.
As with most of Savage’s rifles, the bolt gun is equipped with the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, allowing users to tweak its settings to suit their preferences. The 41.5-inch A22 Target Thumbhole comes with two-piece bases and a 10-round rotary magazine.
The 22 WMR version retails for $629 while the LR version comes in slightly lower at $445. Savage says the A22 is currently on its way to dealer shelves.
