Samson Manufacturing releases lightweight, low-profile AR gas block

Samson Manufacturing expands its AR-15 accessory lineup, unleashing its Lightweight Low-Profile Gas Block designed specifically for the AR platform.
The gas block is precision machined from carbon steel and finished in manganese phosphate. Weighing in at a lightweight .63-ounces, the gas block comes in .625-inch and .750-inch diameter barrel options.
The .750-inch diameter gas block features an overall length of .87-inches with a 1.29-inch height. No details have been released on the .625-inch model.
Samson says the goal of the new gas blocks is to provide a durable yet manageable part for AR shooters.
“When completing a lightweight build, every ounce counts. That’s why we designed our Lightweight Low-Profile gas block to be as light as possible, yet strong enough for serious use,” the company said in a statement on their website.
The new gas blocks are set to ship Mid-November, though no exact date has been announced. The Lightweight Low-Profile Gas Blocks will start at $59.99.
