Running an HK91 DMR Clone Out to 800 Yards (VIDEO)

Heckler & Koch’s first rifle adopted by the German military was the HK G3, which spawned a series of semi-autos and DMR-style guns of its own, but how accurate are they? To find out, Josh Mazzola and Henry Chan team up in the above test from 9-Hole Reviews.
The G3, which is still in production by countries such as Pakistan, has long been retired by most NATO militaries but in the 1970s went on to be used as a line of more accurized weapons for police, counter-terror, and military use. This produced the PSG-1 and G3SG/1 series guns which proved popular for another generation– and gained immortality in classic video games.
To be clear, 9-Hole’s gun is an American-made PTR91FR with a free-floated heavy target barrel, Bill Springfield trigger job, and Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10x40mm optic, but it is close enough for a YT test for sure! Another thing is that they don’t use the old-school claw-type scope mount developed by former Mauser engineer Alex Seidel in 1963 (he is the same guy who had a big hand in the Mauser HSc and later HK VP70, by the way), but they make it work.
