Missoula, Mont. – -(Ammoland.com)- Imagine driving 40 miles through the heart of America’s largest city just to hunt a miniscule 7-acre plot of land. To participate, that is reality for bow hunter Blake Mannion who lives in the heart of the Bronx, the northernmost of New York City’s five boroughs.

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is excited to present The Bronx Hunter, an RMEF Films production.

“This is a special and unique story that demonstrates a positive future for hunting,” said Steve Decker, RMEF vice president of Marketing. “Blake did not grow up hunting but it has become a passion for him involving dedication and sacrifice. The future of hunting depends on folks like Blake engaging, that is a fact.”

Mannion racks up countless miles monthly on his vehicle in order to hunt and enjoy the outdoors.

“There are some challenges here in the Bronx that are very unique for an outdoorsman,” said Mannion. “It’s not convenient. It’s not easy. But the reward and the actual hunt are always worth it.”
