Rick Ector Spoke at Detroit Church on the Importance of Firearm Safety in the Home

This past Sunday – May 24th, 2015 – I spoke before the congregation at Jordan Missionary Baptist Church on the importance of Firearm Safety in the home.

A few weeks ago, the presiding pastor – Lenard McCray – had invited a grassroots gun rights organization (Michigan Gun Owners) to give a free seminar on safeguarding children from guns in the home. The seminar was not as well attended as the pastor would have liked but he saw the utility of offering this training to more members of his church at a later date.

He invited me and the other members of MGO on that occasion to come back to his church one day to speak during a future Sunday service. I took the pastor up on his invitation this past weekend and spoke. I was well received during my presentation AND I enjoyed the service that day as well.
