Richmond man shoots neighbor who tried to invade home

In what police describe as an “extremely random” attack, a 42-year-old Richmond man was shot in the chest early Wednesday morning while allegedly attempting to break into a neighboring apartment on Post Road. Shad Hembree was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta with non life-threatening injuries.
