Arizona -(Ammoland.com)- The Arizona Game and Fish Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the person or persons responsible for the illegal killing of a bull elk on, or close to, Monday, Oct. 19.

The bull elk was located in Game Management Unit 27 on Forest Road 37 near mile post 6 on Middle Mountain.

The meat was left to waste. There was an antlerless elk hunt taking place at this time.

“We need assistance from the public to help find the poacher(s) who left this animal to waste,” said Nancy Huser, law enforcement specialist for the department. “If you heard someone talking about this or you were in the area about this time, it’s possible that you have information that can help solve this case.”

Anyone with information about this case can call the department’s Operation Game Thief hotline at (800) 352-0700 or visit www.azgfd.gov/thief and refer to case #15-003431. Callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $750 in this case. All calls may remain confidential upon request.
