Laramie, WY -(AmmoLand.com)- There has been a tremendous uptick in women’s hunting over the last few years.

According to Census Bureau statistics, the total number of women hunters increased by 25 percent between 2006 and 2011. Remington, who recently began its Women’s Initiative, is supporting this trend in a very direct way with its sponsorship of the 3rd Annual Wyoming Women’s Antelope Hunt.

The hunt will be held Oct. 8-11, 2015 at the Ranch at Ucross in northeastern Wyoming.

The Wyoming Women’s Foundation (WYWF), which seeks to provide a permanent resource for Wyoming’s women and girls, created the hunt to promote camaraderie and mentorship for women through hunting. The annual event raises awareness about, and raises funds for, the Foundation. In just two years the event has raised more than $120,000, impacting grant-making and special projects that improve the economic self-sufficiency of women and the future of girls across the state.
