Register Now for the CMP’s Garand D-Day Match at Talladega Marksmanship Park

Talladega, AL -(AmmoLand.com)- The 2^nd Annual D-Day Anniversary John C. Garand Match will be held June 4-5, 2016, at the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) Talladega Marksmanship Park in Alabama.

The event will commemorate the 72^nd Anniversary of the Allied Forces landing at Normandy Beach in France back in 1944, as well as the one-year mark since the opening of the country’s most advanced outdoor marksmanship facility – Talladega Marksmanship Park.

The John C. Garand D-Day Anniversary Match is a series of rifle, pistol and shotgun events. Last year, over 350 competitors stepped onto the covered firing lines for not only the Inaugural D-Day Matches, but the first official matches conducted on the Marksmanship Park’s soil. After a solid introductory year chronicled at the park, even more guests are expected at this year’s event.

A Garand Match and Vintage Sniper Match will be fired the first day of competition, followed by a Service Rifle EIC Match, .22 Rimfire Pistol EIC Match and a Service Pistol EIC Match to close out the event on Sunday.
