Red, White & Blue Wyoming is Very Green and a Great Place to Visit

Illinois – -(Ammoland.com)- With the July 4th weekend being a 3-day holiday this year, I decided to take a few days off and head west to Big Sky country.

As I write this, I am in Gardiner, Montana. Gardiner is a tourist town split by the Yellowstone River, nestled in the mountains at the northern entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Today we arrived at the Super 8 Motel.

We were greeted by a young elk who wandered down the street and was last seen munching peacefully in the neighbor’s yard. The maintenance man tells me the elk is a regular around here lately. After the elk, my wife and I headed to the Iron Horse Bar & Grill, and while watching the rafters float down the Yellowstone, we enjoyed an elk burger and hamburger. The mountain peaks near Gardiner are still adorned by traces of snow.
