Despite what the Civilian Disarmament Industrial Complex would have you believe, more Americans seem to be concerned about societal breakdown these days than being victimized by street crime. Some of this is reflected in the media. For instance, it’s been argued that the demise of slasher films and the growing popularity of dystopian actions flicks are evidence of this angst. And who could forget NatGeo’s Doomsday Preppers? Maybe that’s because, with violent crime rates at historic lows and more people owning and carrying guns, handling a micro problem like a random mugger seems a lot more manageable than dealing with a macro problem like a pandemic or large scale terrorist attack. Hence this (year old) flick from Savannah River Armory . . .

It doesn’t look like they ever produced a second episode, so we may never know what they did with the uninvited family that arrived at their secluded compound. Did they shoot, shovel and shut up or take them in? Either way, they were clearly prepared for whatever S might HTF. How prepared for trouble are you?
