The foundations of America can be traced to a number of events throughout history. However, perhaps none were more impactful than Patriot’s Day.

What Is Patriot’s Day?

The third Monday in April now known as Patriot’s Day in America. Why?

April 19, 1775, represents the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which were the first military engagements of the American Revolutionary War. It represents the beginning of American Independence. It represent a well-armed militia against a corrupt government where guns paved the way.

According to TimeAndDate.com, the third Monday in April “is a state holiday in Massachusetts and Maine, where state, county, and municipal offices are closed. However, Patriot’s Day is not a federal public holiday and federal offices are open. Many schools are closed for the spring break. Stores and other businesses and organizations may be open or closed according to local custom.”

At Athlon Outdoors, we want to make this a day where Americans across the country celebrate the fact that we became independent!
