Fairfax, VA -(AmmoLand.com)- Early Monday, House Bill 3093 was sent to Senate Rules Committee from the floor for further amendments.

As previously reported, HB 3093 was a reciprocity bill that was making its way through the Legislature when Senator Prozanski insisted on amendments to include a so-called “technical” change that essentially made reciprocity impossible. The amendment also included a “fix” to ensure that certain nail guns are not required to undergo a background check when transferred because of the language in Senate Bill 941.

This comes just a few days after Senate Bill 315 was sent from the House floor to the Rules Committee because other so-called “fixes” to the flawed background check legislation were exposed. These fixes continue to make the bill more restrictive than California’s unbearable anti-gun laws and would make a person liable even if they perform a background check during a temporary loan.
