LasVegas, Nevada – -(Ammoland.com)- What is the difference between a show and an event?

The 44th Annual Safari Club International convention kicked off this morning after a few brief words of welcome from show officials here in LasVegas, Nevada. The first of the nearly 20,000 individuals expected to attend the show filtered onto the event floor in the Mandalay Bay convention center eager to visit with old friends and guides, see new and expensive gear and plan for this year’s adventures and the future.

This is truly an event as over 1,200 exhibitors from 33 countries are set up with their booths directly below the room I’m in which I am writing this.

Representing 34 hunting categories and over 65 of the finest gun makers int he world. The show displays the Gun makers market, which exhibits the highest quality of gun making and engraving in the world. SCI 2016 also features a fishing village which allows attendee to consider trips to catch nearly any species of fish imaginable all over the world.
