“Though not a direct correlation to firearms sales,” the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) email blast warns, “the NSSF-adjusted NICS data provide a more accurate picture of current market conditions.” And lo and behold, October 2014 has entered the record books for the most October FBI (NICS) background checks in the 16-year-old system’s history.
