NWTF’s National FFA Scholarship Awarded to Colorado High School Student
EDGEFIELD, S.C. -(Ammoland.com)- The National Wild Turkey Federation congratulates Dakota Bowman of Briggsdale, Colorado, as the recipient of the 2016-2017 National FFA Organization Scholarship, sponsored by the National Wild Turkey Federation.
The $5,000 scholarship will help Bowman further her education as she plans to enroll at Colorado State University to study wildlife management

Bowman is an avid elk and antelope hunter, and she also has tried her hand at turkey hunting. She is on track to graduate at the top of her class with a perfect 4.0 grade point average and simultaneously receive her associate’s degree in marketing management.
Additionally, Bowman participates in a number of organizations and activities including:
- Competitive horse judging
- National Honors Society
- Student council
- National English Honors Society
- National Society of Leadership and Success
Since 1998, the NWTF has contributed more than $100,000 to National FFA scholarships. State chapter support from the NWTF totals an additional $130,000 in financial contributions to FFA programs and activities.
