NWTF Nebraska Pledges $77,370 to Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt.

EDGEFIELD, S.C. -(Ammoland.com)- The Nebraska State Chapter of the NWTF recently allocated $77,370 in funding to support NWTF Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt efforts in Nebraska.

The Nebraska State NWTF Chapter board of directors reviewed and allocated funding for numerous projects and secured $398,881 in funding from our partners, representing an eight-to-one match rate for NWTF funding.

A total $24,900 was awarded to Save the Hunt. efforts in Nebraska, including JAKES, WITO, Wheelin’ Sportsmen, local and state scholarships and one hunter access project.

This funding includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • $9,600 to support 4H shooting programs, the National Archery in the Schools Program kits for three schools and youth range development
  • $10,000 to support the Open Fields & Water Canyon Access Initiative in partnership with Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and area land owners.

​In addition, the Nebraska State Board of Directors dedicated $52,470 in NWTF funding to the following Hunting Heritage Super Fund projects to Save the Habitat.

  • $5,000 for continued support of the NWTF District Biologist Program
    Partners: NGPC, NWTF Kansas, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks & Tourism
