The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) launched a TV ad on Tuesday exposing U.S. Senate candidate Jason Kander’s attempt to misrepresent his Second Amendment voting record. The spot, “Blindfold,” focuses on votes Kander cast in Jefferson City and demonstrates that he’s a politician who will say anything to get elected.

“The stakes for law-abiding gun owners in this election have never been higher. Missourians cannot afford to elect a liberal politician who says one thing and does another,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman, NRA-PVF. “Jason Kander is no different than Hillary Clinton – willing to say whatever he thinks will get him elected to national office.”

Kander released an ad last week that used his ability to assemble a rifle to distract from his anti-Second Amendment voting record. In the ad, Kander says he voted to protect Second Amendment freedoms. But that statement ignores his actual voting record.

In 2008, Kander refused to fill out a candidate questionnaire regarding his Second Amendment views. In 2009, Kander voted “no” on a bill (HB 668) that protected the fundamental right to keep a firearm in the home for self-defense; lowered to 21 the qualifying age for concealed carry permit holders; and removed campus …Read the Rest
