Following a recent Bigfoot sighting in the area, the Greenville Police Department took to Facebook Tuesday to ask local residents not to shoot Sasquatch if they come in contact with the elusive creature.
The reported sighting of “a large bi-pedal animal covered in hair” occurred Friday night, prompting the police department to share Sasquatch footage recorded in 2015 in another part of North Carolina.
“I think we can say with some confidence that proof of Bigfoot still eludes us,” the department wrote, adding, “If you see Bigfoot, please do not shoot at him/her, as you’ll most likely be wounding a fun-loving and well-intentioned person, sweating in a gorilla costume.”
Or maybe not…
