Norma delivers a new series, known as Ecostrike, created as a lead-free ammo alternative for hunters after medium and large game. The Ecostrike series brings a polymer tripped projectile to hunters with what Norma says offers better ballistic coefficients and more reliability in terms of performance.
The lead-free, copper bullet balances penetration with high weight retention. The projectile uses a cavity that helps aid in expansion. To top it off, the proprietary plating also works to increase barrel life of guns.
“With Ecostrike, Norma is ushering in a new era for lead-free hunting cartridges,” Paul Lemke, General Manager for RUAG Ammotec USA, said in a news release. “Ecostrike delivers the accuracy and terminal ballistics that hunters can rely on, while simultaneously raising the bar for the overall performance of lead-free hunting ammunition.”
The Ecostrike comes in a few different calibers giving hunters some variety in the field. Calibers include 300 Win Mag, 300 WSM, 30-06, .308 Win and 7mm.
