Massachusetts-based Smith & Wesson this week added a trio of new rimfire M&P15-22 Sport rifles to their catalog, complete with factory-mounted optics.
Designated the M&P15-22 Sport OR (optics ready) series, the .22LR semi-auto MSR-style rimfires come standard with the company’s branded MP-100 optic installed. The variable intensity 4.0 MOA round dot offers both red and green reticles and mounts to most M1913 Picatinny rails. Adjustable for windage and elevation, they have flip-open lens caps and use a single CR1620 battery.

The rifles incorporate a 10-inch M&P slim handguard with Magpul M-LOK accessory slots, 2-position safety, and a functional charging handle. All models use a 16.5-inch carbon steel barrel that translates to an overall length of 33.8-inches. Weight is about 5-pounds.
Smith offers the M&P 15-22/M-100 package in three variants for state compliance.
The line includes the standard model, top, with 25-round magazines, A2-style flash hider and 6-position adjustable stock as well as in 10-round variants that include the option for a fixed stock and no flash hider.
MSRP on the M&P15-22 Sport OR is $469.
