The National Shooting Sports Foundation may be best known for representing outdoorsmen and the traditional shooting sports, as their logo depicts. While the NSSF continues the fight for hunters’ rights, access to public lands and the firearms industry’s interests, the trade association is looking more and more to introduce itself to “Guns 2.0”: younger, ethnically diverse shooters who didn’t come to firearms through hunting or the more traditional means. To that end, the NSSF is sponsoring the VIP tent at the 2015 Texas Firearms Festival on November 14 and 15 at Best of the West Shooting Sports in Liberty Hill . . .

“The Texas Firearms Festival is an excellent opportunity to raise our profile with this key demographic,” NSSF Public Affairs Director Michael Bazinet says. “We want people new to shooting to know the NSSF is working hard to promote the lawful commerce of firearms and educate consumers on safety, technique and shooting options.
