MT2 Forms TSA Range Safety Team in Response to Recent Announcement by TSA Now Requires Proof Gun Ranges are Clean for Air Marshals

Arvada, CO -(AmmoLand.com)- In a recent Seattle Times news report, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is now requiring commercial gun ranges seeking contracts to help train federal air marshals and other officers, to first prove the facilities are not tainted with lead.

The bids require a gun range to show that its indoor air recently has met federal safety standards and to provide results from recent lead-exposure tests or an inspection report showing compliance with federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.

MT2 is leading the fight to protect Federal Air Marshals and all law enforcement officers from the hazards of lead poisoning at gun ranges. In the past year alone, MT2 has completed firing range clean-up projects for law enforcement agencies Coast-to-Coast such as NYPD, Denver, Seattle, and Richmond.
