Mother Shoots Intruder to Protect Sleeping Baby

JAMES CITY COUNTY, VIRGINIA — A woman named Allie, who has chosen not to reveal her last name, shot a man twice who broke into her two-year-old daughter’s playroom.

Allie’s husband is a James City County police officer and obviously felt that it was important for his family to be prepared to protect themselves in a life-threatening emergency. He taught his wife Allie how to use a firearm for protection in the case of an intruder in their home. Now, his efforts to teach his wife and her courage to follow through saved lives.
