NORTH HAVEN, Conn. -(Ammoland.com)- Introduced in 2013, the Mossberg MVP Series Patrol Rifle combined the versatility of a carbine bolt-action rifle with the ingenious ability to accept and reliably-feed from AR-style magazines.

Now Mossberg is pleased to introduce two Vortex-scoped versions of the MVP Patrol rifle, chambered in 5.56mm NATO/223 Rem and 7.62mm NATO/308 Win.

These full-featured rifles include threaded barrels with A2-style flash suppressor; neoprene Comb-Raising Kit; Magpul PMAG 10-round magazines; and Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32mm variable riflescope with Bullet Drop Compensation (BDC) reticle.

Innovation defined the Mossberg MVP Series, when the first MVP Varmint rifle was introduced in 2011. Its patented Drop-Push hinged-bolt design allowed the use of AR15-style magazines in a bolt-action rifle; a modernization of this traditional platform.

Followed by two additional patented designs (Dual Latching System and Dual Push Bolt) that allowed MVP rifles chambered in 7.62mm NATO (308 Win) to accept both M1A/M14 and AR10-style magazines.
