Montana FWP Looking for Leads on Mule Deer Found Dead East of Corvallis

Montana – -(AmmoLand.com)- Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) game warden, Justin Singleterry, is seeking information about a mule deer buck that was shot and then dumped off Willow Creek Road, east of Corvallis in the Bitterroot Valley.

Evidence supports that the 4×4 buck was shot and killed on location and then discarded down a steep embankment. Nothing was taken from the deer and all meat left to waste.

The incident occurred approximately one-quarter mile past the intersection of Willow Creek Road and Willow Creek Trailhead Road, right after a hard switchback. FWP was notified about the deer on November 7, 2019, through a public report. The deer could have been killed multiple days prior to its discovery.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call FWP warden Singleterry at 406-240-0764 or 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668). Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to a conviction.
